Queensland Premier Palaszcuk has this morning announced a strict three day lockdown to stop the possible spread of the highly infectious UK variant of the COVID-19 virus recently identified from a hotel quarantine worker. The lockdown covers the Greater Brisbane locations including local government areas of Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and Redlands, effective from 6pm Friday 8 January to 6 pm Monday 11.
Medical and health care are permitted activities, so dental practitioners may continue to operate in accordance to current Level 1 ADA Dental restrictions.
The safety and well-being of our patients and team is always our overriding priority and something we take very seriously. The good news is for Sure Dental we will continue to remain open. As one of the first Accredited practices in Australia our normal infection control procedures are adequate in these unusual times. In addition to our current Infection Control standards you will see extra precautionary measures when you visit including:
Masks mandatory
Temperature checks
Application of hand sanitizer
Pre-treatment mouth rinse
We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 nationally and within our community and keep you up-to-date regarding the updates at Sure Dental.
Stay safe and take care.
